Trivia

There was a European edition that was released with a cardboard sleeve over the jewel case, which the Japanese releases did not come with. It also has an extra lyrics booklet that contains the lyrics in romaji and translations. It had the same track list as the limited edition had as well as the DVD.

On the obi of the Japanese releases, the title Gilia is also written in katakana, ギリア (GIRIA).

The first album from the newcomer band Matenrou Opera (GILIA) contains a total of 8 tracks for the European version, including the popular track "Ruriiro de egaku niji" which has so far reached the #11 spot on the Japanese Indie-charts. With their unprecendented, strongly expressive songs, these 5 boys definitely catch the attention. Thanks to their fantastic mixture of heavy metal and classical elements this album makes for an unforgettable acoustic flight of high tones that you just cannot get enough of!

Matenrou Opera are just a young band, but they have already excited their audience with their first live concert. The successful combination was founded in the spring of 2007 by singer Sono and drummer Yu. Their first single, which was released on the day of their first concert, was sold out completely within minutes. Matenrou Opera manages to enthrall with their dark, and stylish appearance, as well as by Sono's unique voice, which lends an amazing sense of uniqueness to their captivating songs. The fans in this country were already very impressed during the successful Coupling Tour with Versailles through Europe in April 2008 and absolutely cannot wait to hear more from the captivating musicians Matenrou Opera!

Das erste Album der Newcomer-Band Matenrou Opera [ GILIA ] enthält in der europäischen Version insgesamt acht Tracks, darunter die Erfolgs-Single „Ruriiro de egaku niji”, die sofort nach Erscheinen auf Platz 11 der japanischen Indie-Charts stürmte. Mit ihren unvergleichlich starken, ausdrucksvollen Songs machen die fünf Jungs in jedem Fall auf sich aufmerksam. Dank der fabelhaften Mischung von Heavy Metal und klassischen Elementen gestaltet sich das Album als unvergesslicher akustischer Höhenflug, an dem man sich einfach nicht satt hören kann!

Matenrou Opera ist eine noch junge Band, die jedoch bereits mit ihrem ersten Auftritt in der Öffentlichkeit das Publikum begeisterte. Gegründet wurde die Erfolgscombo im Frühjahr 2007 von Sänger Sono und Drummer Yu. Matenrou Opera is a young band who blew everyone away with their first appearance.

The band was formed by ~sono~ (Vo./ex.Jeniva) and ~yu~ (Dr.) in spring 2007.

Their first live show was at Urawa Narciss on May 4th 2007.

On the same day they released their first single "alkaloid showcase" and it sold out very quickly. ~sono~ proved in their first release that his already amazing voice has dramatically improved, becoming very distinguishable. Their songs are unique, along with their appearance which is dark yet stylish.

After some shows, Mika (Gt.) and Karen (Key.) decided to leave the band and the last show with the original line-up was at Ikebukuro Cyber on Nov 17th 2007.

After that, ~anzi~ and ~ayame~ joined them and the new Matenrou Opera appeared at an event by Sherow Artist Society, which is run by KAMIJO (Versailles), in Omotesandou FAB on Dec 23rd.

This fabulous band is set to release their second single “Ruriiro de egaku niji” on March 5th and will join Versailles on their European tour which is suppose to take place in March and April 2008.
