Trivia

CHRONOS was first announced as an album, but that was soon corrected to EP (Extended Play).

According to this source, the title of the EP, CRHONOS, is the name of the ancient God of time, and it tells the tale of two lovers who meet, then part, and continues telling about what happens thereafter and into the future. The EP is like a concept album, with the theme of the 5 songs being their "love" in their relationship that shifts and changes during the flow of time.

On the cover art too the "God of Time" is illustrated, stepping into the unknown world on the other side of the door. Sono said this about the EP: it's my first time writing lyrics from the point of view of one single protagonist for the duration of a whole album".

Ironically, although CHRONOS marked the band's second major debut with King Records again, it would also be their last release with the major record label before going independent with  Ether Corp./Amairo Records, which were created by Sono which he had previously used to kickstart his solo project Unmei Kosaten.
